Every morning, awoken by the silent screams of her soul,
Like the convulsing tides of the misty ocean reaching on the shore.
Carbon soaked nightmares found tangled in her dreamcatcher,
Heart intoxicated with the fatal poisons of broken matters.
Every night, the cars try to cradle her insomnia and fail,
Smiles camouflaging the saddest parts of her like a beautiful silk veil.
Knives, guns, cigarettes tormenting her languid brain,
Breaking down on the cold bathroom floors, trying to inhale the pain.
Sweetheart, have you ever realized the love you seek can be found inside each cell of your skin?
The way your body tries to keep you alive,
It makes sure you breathe when you sleep tonight.
Fixing broken bones, healing wounds, and bruises,
Knives, guns, cigarettes can never transform such love into ruins.
Sweetheart, will you love yourself when I tell you that stars crumbled into rubble to give you birth?
Will you love yourself when I tell you carbon in your body can break the diamonds of the earth
Wipe your tears right now.
Sew your heart back together.
I know the needles will hurt you, just like your body is hurt when it battles with menacing diseases for you.
Perhaps you’ll bleed but nebulas must fall to be reborn as exquisite stars.
Your wounds will heal.
You know why?
Because you’re a hero.
And the last time I checked, heroes are the ones who were never saved, they were forced to save themselves,
And vow that no one should be awoken by the silent screams of their soul.
No one should be awoken by the silent screams of their soul. ~ Enigma
